Hey there everyone, ready for some wrestling? We’ve got another edition of Friday Night SmackDown to look forward to here his evening! Roman Reigns & The Usos meet King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in a six-man tag team match here tonight! My name is Jordan Huie, and I’m so happy to have you here with us tonight! Thank you for being with us here at the Overtimer where, as always, I’ll be giving you the deep dive into tonight’s iteration of WWE Friday Night SmackDown! We have four matches announced in advance for the evening, not at all a common occurrence in WWE. So I’ll be sure to take advantage of that and give you all the previews for every single one! And with that all in mind…
Roman Reigns & The Usos vs. King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode
Yannow, I could really be lazy here. I could just link you to the preview I did for this exact match when they did it last week Or I could copy and paste it, the way they’re copying and pasting on their booking sheets. But what can I say? I care about what I do, so let’s go ahead and look at the second SmackDown six-man tag team match between Roman Reigns, The Usos, King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode of the week.
This past Sunday, Roman Reigns and King Corbin fought in a Falls Count Anywhere match that took them… some of the way across the gigantic baseball stadium that was the venue of the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble. It was a match that, in some ways, really defined the feud. There was rampant interference, monotonous and unbelievable brawling and cringey sophomoric hijinks in the form of Roman Reigns throwing King Corbin into a port-a-potty and tipping it over. It genuinely did feel like the tag teams got involved in that match because otherwise it was really struggling for anything exciting. The guys managed to have a pretty boring TLC match last month so having a boring Falls Count Anywhere match was child’s play in comparison.
It ended with Reigns spearing Corbin onto a dugout and getting the win. One would hope that would be decisive enough to end things but evidently not. We may well be getting our Loser Eats Dogfood match still, and no better place to put that than Super Show-Down in a few weeks… but yannow, one can maybe hope that Roman wins strong here and finally closes the book on this. So I’ll just go with that. Roman & The Usos over.
