Prince Harry defended his wife Meghan Markle by cutting off ties from friends who could have destroyed their relationship.
Hero Harry Cut Off Unsupportive Friends To Show He Loved Meghan
That is according to royal experts Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand in their book ‘Finding Freedom.’ The couple began dating in 2016 before announcing their engagement a year later.
And as it ended up with the pair getting married, things did work out very well. After all, they even managed to have two children together.
And yet, prior to that happening, there were still some hurdles the pair had to navigate. Royal author Tom Bower in his book entitled ‘Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsor’s,’ recounted an incident over food involving Harry, Meghan and his friends.
During this event, it seemed that Meghan had been troubled by the comments that were being made by Harry’s friends, while they were also baffled by Meghan’s reaction.
In his book, Tom wrote: “Their jokes, involving sexism, feminism and transgender people, ricocheted…Meghan challenged every guest whose conversation contravened her values.
And all of this may explain why Harry decided to distance himself from those he had known. In this way, he was looking out for the welfare of his wife, who did admit in her Oprah Winfrey interview that she had suicidal thoughts.
In the said book, Omid and Carolyn said: “When some questioned his new relationship, and whether she was suitable, he would wonder: “Is this about race? Is it snobbery?
“An old friend of Harry’s spent an afternoon gossiping about Meghan, making disparaging remarks about her Hollywood background. Word got back to Harry, and the prince immediately cut him off.”
As long as Harry and Meghan are happy, then who are we to question otherwise. And with reports of Prince William’s potential infidelity, Harry and Meghan’s relationship could not be any better even if they have had to make lots of sacrifices in the process.
