Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could return to make visits to see the Royal family, as they have become highly unpopular in the US.
Harry And Meghan Could Make More UK Visits As People Are Fed Up Of Them In The US
That is according to royal expert Kinsey Schofield. This would be a shocking turn of events, especially since the pair did leave the Royal family in order to avoid media scrutiny and live a life of independence.
This had been achieved in part by virtue of the fact that they managed to raise two children away from the limelight. Not only that, but their Netflix and Spotify deals have generated an alternative means of income.
And yet, Kinsey felt that this was not enough to sustain a credible brand. The couple’s attempts at branching out into politics have not gone down very well.
Meghan’s letter to House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi advocating paid parental leave was slammed on the basis she was interfering in US politics.
Much in the same way, Harry’s recent speech at the United Nations on Manson Mandela International Day was criticised on the basis that he was speaking about political affairs and using his royal title without being in the institution.
So in order to keep the spotlight, Kinsey expects the pair to make more visits to the UK. Her following comments confirmed as much: “No one else really has any interest in having the Sussexes around so yes, they must jump at any opportunity they have to still appear to be in the fold.”
In reality, having a lot more visits to the UK while the relations between them and the royals are strained is not going to come across well.
This was most notably seen when the pair were booed while they exited the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ at St. Paul’s Cathedral during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
And unless they can resolve matters internally, then they will not prove very popular in the UK. After all, they have been absent for 2 years.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
