Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have played a part in modernising the Royal family.
Harry And Meghan Have Modernised Royal Family ‘To Make People Aware Of Things That Have Gone On That Are Wrong’
This claim arrives in relation to the mixed response that the couple have received since their exit from the Royal family in 2020.
Their critics argue that the couple’s controversial Oprah Winfrey interview did the family a lot of damage, as their issues could have been resolved behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, some even questioned the veracity of their claims. And yet, supporters of the couple argue that their openness was designed to see the Royal family reform, as opposed to inflicting any damage to them.
Grant Harrold, who happened to be a butler that worked under Prince Charles, had this to say: “I don’t believe for a second that Harry would intentionally try to destroy the monarchy.
“I wouldn’t put it past him to want to modernise it… to make people aware of things that have gone on that are wrong.”
Nevertheless, one of the couple’s biggest critics Piers Morgan begged to differ. He was of the view that the pair were hell-bent on destroying the Royal family.
Morgan has addressed this in the past by claiming that the two want to set up a rival Royal family from the US. Not only that, but Morgan has made it clear that he does not believe the Duchess of Sussex’s claims that were made in the Oprah interview.
With that being said, he did not view the couple in a positive way. In his comments, he remarked: “I think they are destroying a lot of the magic of the monarchy.” The response on social media was heavily against the couple.
This was on the grounds that steps had been taken to modernise the Royal family without them. As such, their exit did nothing to start something that was already in motion.
One person wrote: “The ones ACTUALLY modernising the Royal family are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their kids! Prince George, Princess Charlotte & Prince Louis are #GenZ & are growing up with as normal lives as possible.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
