Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have confirmed that they will make a visit to the UK next month.
Harry And Meghan Set To Visit UK Next Month For ‘Several Charities Close To Their Hearts’
This news was a shock to say the least, especially since the couple had made their UK return only very recently when they attended Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
During the course of that process, they received a frosty welcome which was seen by their decision to leave before the festivities were concluded.
And yet, this return does not appear to be a social visit as the Sussexes have a clear plan of action. It is alleged that the pair will travel to Manchester as part of the ‘One Young World Summit.’
This is an event that is designed to bring together young leaders from across the world. The event is set to go ahead on 5th September 2022.
It will also include the presence of Justin Trudeau, Sir Richard Branson, and Jamie Oliver to name a few. This will then be followed up by another UK event, as they will attend the ‘WellChild Awards’ on 8th September 2022.
But the UK is not the only destination on the couple’s list. They are also expected to travel to Germany for the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 ‘One Year to Go’ event. With that being said, the couple have plenty to look forward to.
In an official statement given on behalf of the couple, a representative said the following: “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September.”
Nevertheless, their planned visit has not gone down well on social media. And in the process, the comments became very harsh indeed.
One person wrote: “And who will be paying for yet more PR vanity fluff?# Yet another 4 private jet flights? When will they realise we can see through their antics and NO-ONE CARES.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
