Edge started The Judgement Day faction, but after being double crossed – he’s become their biggest target. Finn Balor, Damien Priest & Rhea Ripley are ready to end his Hall of Fame career, and ensure fans never have to be let down by him potentially retiring again. Edge has fought back, and brought back a past ally to help his cause.
Back in 2002, Edge & Rey Mysterio were two promising young stars who claimed the WWE Tag Team Championships, and tonight – they look to bring the fight to The Judgement Day. Dominik Mysterio has been physically and mentally dominated by Rhea Ripley – and that could be the deciding factor here tonight.
A Hall Of Fame Tag Team Faces Down Judgement Day
Balor & Mysterio would start this match, with Mysterio being driven into the corner for some rushing chops. Priest would get the tag as Mysterio gained control, and he wanted Edge. The crowd wanted Edge as well, and the 11 time world champion hit the ring. The right hand to the jaw would buckle his knees, and Priest would look to maul him in the corner.
Edge would send Priest from the ring and throw Mysterio over the ropes onto both members of Judgement Day. Mysterio would use his speed in the ring to try and take Priest down, before being dropped with a big slam. He’d be kicked into the Judgement Day corner, where Balor would hit the slingshot double stomp.
Priest would apply a tight chinlock, before spitting in the face of Edge. Balor would tease hitting the Three Amigos – but would just beat Mysterio down to the mat and apply the rear chinlock. Mysterio would get a chance for a tag after a basement dropkick and enziguri, but Balor stumbled into a tag from Priest – who kept Edge out of the ring.
Dominik Mysterio Helps Rey Mysterio & Edge Claim The Win… And Beats Them Down Post-Match
On the floor, Priest would get crotched on the barricade – and Mysterio would lunge for the tag. Priest nearly would stop Edge from getting legal, but Mysterio kicked him free. Edge would hit the Impaler on Balor, before a 619 from Edge and a Frog Splash from Mysterio – only for Priest to break the pinfall up.
Edge would spear Priest through the ropes and to the floor, before Balor dumped Mysterio right out to the floor. A jawbreaker would stun Balor, who would bounce back and hit the Slingblade. Shotgun dropkick would set Balor up for Coup De Grace. Dominik Mysterio would run a distraction, before Mysterio took Balor off the top rope.
Ripley would take Dominik out, before Mysterio hit the dive from the ring. Balor would avoid the 619 and kicked Mysterio to the floor, only for Dominik to trip him up. 619 into the spear would end this match in dominant fashion. Dominik showed just where his allegiances were here tonight, despite his issues with Edge.
After the bell however, Dominik would hit a low blow on Edge, before attacking his own father with a lariat. He’s seemingly joined Judgement Day, and this was not the end of this feud.
