This past weekend saw the end of NXT UK, as the main titles were all unified with the corresponding NXT Championships. A hiatus was recently announced, with it set to be replaced by NXT Europe in 2023. Many of the names of NXT UK were released alongside this hiatus, including the likes of Trent Seven, Millie Mackenzie, Flash Morgan Webster, and more. However, there are some who see a bright future ahead of NXT Europe – including former NXT UK Champion and current WWE Intercontinental Champion – GUNTHER.
GUNTHER Is Open To Working In NXT Europe In 2023
While speaking with Cultaholic Wrestling, GUNTHER would have a chance to speak about NXT Europe. In particular, he would be asked if he had any interest in being part of the show – and he’d respond with the following.
“I think it’s still so fresh that there aren’t really concrete plans or anything. But I’m definitely up to being involved somehow. I think it’d be a great progression from NXT UK. I think there’s a lot of potential in NXT Europe so I hope we can do our part in that.”
During the history of NXT UK, the likes of Cesaro & Finn Balor would show up on the bigger events – and that will likely stay the same with NXT Europe. Having people like Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, GUNTHER, Sheamus, Becky Lynch and more appear on NXT Europe events would just make sense – allowing for easy boosts in star power for key events.
Happy To See Imperium Back
He would also have a chance to speak about the reforming of Imperium at Clash At The Castle. Despite being left in NXT when Ludwig & GUNTHER moved to Smackdown Live, and going through a rebranding – Giovanni Vinci is back with the group. GUNTHER would have the following to say about his faction being back to full power.
“I think it was a great time because obviously myself and back then Fabian Aichner, we started in NXT and then we had the chance to go over there, and that was also when we got back together with WALTER and Imperium happened and all that. So it was a very important stage of our career. Lots of great memories from that time. But now it’s time to move on, now it’s a different part of our career, now we make the very best out of that,”
