Worlds Collide was set to be another dominant night for Diamond Mine. Brutus & Julius Creed were one of the teams left standing near the end of the Fatal Four Way Elimination match – and had Pretty Deadly dead to rights. However, it was a blindside attack from Damon Kemp, who whacked Julius Creed with a steel chair before nailing a backbreaker that handed Pretty Deadly the win. With Roderick Strong having been brutally attacked in the parking lot, no one knows who was giving Kemp orders – but things might become clear now.
Damon Kemp Reveals His Involvement In Attacking Roderick Strong
Kemp would say that he was recruited into NXT by Kemp, but despite helping The Creed Brothers & Roderick Strong rise – never got his chance. He would stay in the bottom of Diamond Mine, despite being a Pan-American wrestling champion. Kemp saw the cracks forming between Julius Creed & Roderick Strong, and would stir the pot.
He was the one who attacked Strong, and the Creed Brothers telling him to chill out was the last straw. Because of this, he would take the steps to ensure The Creed Brothers did not remain champions – and this is only getting started. Diamond Mine isn’t forever, but Damon Kemp will be.
Ricochet Soars High
At Worlds Collide, the closest match of the night was the opening contest between Ricochet & Carmelo Hayes. Hayes was able to slip away with his NXT North American Championship, but not without a lot of help from Trick Williams. Tonight, Ricochet is back in the ring for the first time with NXT 2.0 – as he goes one on one with Williams, and perhaps looks to get a rematch with Hayes.
Ricochet would take Williams down as the match began, gaining early control. Williams would yank him down the mat – and while Ricochet bounced to his feet – he’d take a kick to the face. Ricochet would throw some heavy strikes, before being popped up into an uppercut for a two count. Williams would slam his face off the announce table, but back in the ring would be caught in a pinfall for two.
Running neckbreaker would land, but Ricochet kicked out at two. Ricochet would get some steam – and was able to kick Williams in the face before a springboard lariat. Recoil would land, and Ricochet locked eyes with Hayes as he went to the top rope for a shooting star press – ending this match.
Will Ricochet get his rematch with Hayes? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
