Prince Harry is being tipped to play a pivotal role in the mourning period following Queen Elizabeth’s death.
Prince Harry Backed To Play A Key Role In The Mourning Of Queen Elizabeth II-’Very Possible,’ Says Royal Expert Richard Fitzwilliams
The Duke of Sussex shocked the globe when he appeared, with wife Meghan Markle, alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton in order to pay their respects for the late monarch at Windsor.
That gave the public a boost, as it demonstrated unity at a time where the country is going through some very challenging moments.
There were still obvious question marks over whether this was simply done in order to avoid negative media scrutiny, or if there was a chance that there could be a genuine reconciliation.
But now it seems that there is a real prospect of the two brothers patching things up. Richard Fitzwilliams, who happens to be a royal expert, had this to say: “King Charles sent them his love in his moving address.
“Now we see real progress. Will Harry participate actively in the forthcoming ceremonies to honour his beloved late grandmother? This seems very possible now.”
Nevertheless, there is also another point to consider. Will Meghan attend the funeral given that she had made very critical remarks about the Royal Family prior to the Queen’s passing.
Not only that, but reports indicated that King Charles III had allegedly informed Harry that it would not be appropriate to have Meghan come to Balmoral during the late monarch’s final moments.
Therefore, if that was the case, would her appearance at the funeral be suitable? And yet, there is a feeling that whatever Megan does, she could face backlash. By not attending, it would be seen as a sign of disrespect.
Meanwhile, her attendance would not detract from her conduct prior to the monarch’s passing. Time will tell how the Sussexes proceed with the royals going forward, but at the very least, they should show some unity for the funeral.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
