Fans have defended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for holding hands while they were mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Fans BLAST Harry And Meghan’s Haters For Criticizing Couple’s PDA During Queen Elizabeth’s Procession-‘People Are Racists’
The Sussexes just so happened to be paying their respects at Westminster Hall on Wednesday, 14th September 2022. During the course of that process, Meghan was seen curtsying while Harry was visibly distressed as it appeared he had tears.
But as the couple departed the service behind Prince William and Kate Middleton, they were seen holding hands in order to show each other some support.
This led to criticism from a certain section of the public on the basis that more focus should have been directed towards the late monarch. Not only that, but others questioned why they simply could not walk in a straight line when others had done so.
One such person at the time had stated the following: “As the family formally move away from the Queen’s coffin, Meghan holds Harry’s hand! How totally inappropriate!
“She has no idea of how to behave in an official state occasion and her behaviour is rude.” Nevertheless, the pair have now received some support.
This was on the basis the duo have been harshly treated, especially in light of the reaction that has emerged in comparison to others who had apparently done a similar thing.
Zara Tindall and her husband, Mike Tindall, had allegedly also been holding hands as they exited the service.
As such, people could not understand why there was so much backlash towards the Sussexes when the same had not been directed towards the Tindalls.
Another person said: “It seems strange that people only criticised Harry and Meghan for holding hands, not Mike and Zara Tindall. That tends to give the game away that people are racists.”
It is fair to say that Harry and Meghan have created a situation where their every action has come under scrutiny. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
