Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly furious that their children will not be given HRH status.
Harry And Meghan OUTRAGED AS Archie And Lilibet Not Given HRH Status-‘They Have Been Left Furious’
Archie and Lilibet were given the title of prince and princess respectively once King Charles III came to the throne. Although this may have been the case, it seems the use of HRH will not be given.
This acronym stands for ‘His Royal Highness,’ or ‘Her Royal Highness.’ This is not merely just wordplay but something very significant as the HRH provides a person with some added luxury.
It gives the person access to a salary by virtue of being a working royal. Not only that, but it also allows the said person official security. And on top of that, it requires other people who meet them to curtsy or bow.
And this move has apparently not gone down very well with Harry and Meghan in light of the former’s concerns over security which he has been vocal about.
A source said the following: “Harry and Meghan were worried about the security issue and being prince and princess brings them the right to have certain levels of royal security.”
Nevertheless, this decision has to be questioned in light of the following. Princesses Beatrice and Princesses Beatrice appear to have the HRH status, despite not being working royals.
This obviously raises question marks over why there is such a difference between Harry and Meghan. And yet, when one looks at King Charles’ first speech to the nation, he made it very clear that he wished Harry and Meghan the best with their ‘lives overseas.’
This may be part and parcel of that, but it has still left the Sussexes dissatisfied. The following comments confirmed as much: “There have been a lot of talks over the past week.
“They have been insistent that Archie and Lilibet are prince and princess. They have been relentless since the Queen died. But they have been left furious that Archie and Lilibet cannot take the title HRH.”
