Prince William has been praised for his interaction with some fans when they asked him which football team he supported, as they waited to see the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II.
Prince William Jokes With Fans Over Which Football Team He Supports-‘We Can’t All Be Perfect’
William and his father King Charles III just so happen to have surprised some mourners in Lambeth, as they were queuing outside Westminster Hall.
During the course of that process, William was asked by some supporters of Manchester United which football team he supported.
But rather than refusing to answer the question, or choosing a team that was doing very well in the Premier League, William shocked the fans with his answer. In the video here, we can see that William is shaking lots of people’s hands.
He comes across the young group of Manchester United fans, who are excited to see him. After asking what team he supported, William had this to say: “Aston Villa…You’re all Man United fans. We can’t all be perfect.”
That was clearly a joke on William’s part when we look at the manner in which the two teams are performing. Manchester United are currently in 5th position, while Aston Villa are in 14th.
And given that they are two of the biggest clubs in England, it is fair to say that they would expect more from their teams. The fans on social media, though, praised William for the manner in which he dealt with the crowd.
This was on the basis that he came across as very relatable. Meanwhile, others decided to question his choice of team especially since it was not one that you would necessarily associated with him immediately.
One person wrote: “He will make a good king. Suits him more than all the others,” while another person stated: “Charisma …. Humour…. Personality…. all things his brother no longer has following his marriage to “you know who.”
It is great to see William looking well in light of the recent difficult circumstances that he has been through. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
