Piers Morgan has been bashed after criticising Meghan Markle shortly before she arrived for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

It is no secret that he is not her biggest fan after having made it clear that he was not convinced by her claims in the controversial Oprah Winfrey interview. So much so that he has gone on to refer to her as ‘Princess Pinocchio.’
And there was no exception this time around, as he hoped that Harry would drop his tell-all memoir despite claims that Meghan wants it to go ahead.
In his comments, Piers said: “I hope something wakes up inside of him, I hope he pops the book. She’s [Meghan] probably a lost cause in this because she just wants to be rich and famous.”
Those comments did not go down very well for the following reasons. First of all, regardless of what you may think about Meghan, the fact of the matter is that the focus should have been on the passing of the late monarch.
As such, Piers’ comments were seen as being inappropriate. Secondly, others felt that Piers had to finally let go of his criticism towards Meghan as it was bordering on an obsession.
And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media. One person wrote: “Unbelievable on today of all days Piers want[s] to take aim at Meghan.
“He seems to be suffering from a continued unhealthy obsessive disorder with Meghan,” while another person stated: “Give it rest and leave them alone you are so boring, so it’s time for you to keep quiet for once.”
It is clear that Morgan does not see Meghan in a positive light, but she does have the opportunity to change things. Ultimately, it all depends on how the Sussexes proceed with the royals going forward when they go back to the United States.
