Ladies and gentlemen, tonight is Friday which means another episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and below you will be getting the quick hits, results from every match and angle as they come, plus links to recaps of each segment!
Segment 1: We open the show with a Moment Of Bliss, with Carmella as a guest star. They go into her history with Bayley, showing past photographs to prove that they used to be very close friends. Carmella blames Sasha Banks for corrupting her. Bayley interrupts to argue this and Carmella challenges her to have their title match right then and there!
Segment 2: Carmella indeed took on Bayley for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship in the first match of the night. In what I have to say was personally a much better match than I expected, Bayley got the victory when she turned the Cone Of Silence into a pin with her feet on the ropes. She then jumped the challenger afterwards, only for Naomi to make the save.
Segment 3: We see Bayley promise to defend her title at WWE Super Show-Down. Tucker helps Otis get ready for his date with Mandy Rose, says if she deserves him, she’ll like him for what he is. Then, Sheamus took on and defeated Shorty G & Apollo Crews in a handicap match.
Segment 4: Hulk Hogan was interviewed and backed up Goldberg in his title challenge against the Fiend. Bray did a little nWo parody and warned Hogan that there’s always more room on his wall. Then, Sami Zayn and Cesaro staged a protest concert with a ukelele and cowbell, until Elias interrupted and Braun Strowman ran them off after they jumped him.
Segment 5: Otis Dozovic shows up for his date with Mandy Rose, just before Dolph Ziggler slipped in to speak with her. Otis sees Mandy and Ziggler together and gets the wrong idea, drops his roses and sullenly walks away, heartbroken. Then, out comes John Morrison and the Miz to face off with Roman Reigns and his mystery partner – who turns out to be Daniel Bryan!
Segment 6: The main event sees John Morrison and the Miz take on Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan! Roman and Bryan got the win, but afterwards, King Corbin crept out of the crowd and nailed Roman in the back of the head with his scepter.
