At the end of August, the AEW contract of Bobby Fish would come to a close. This happened while The Undisputed Elite were off TV anyways, with both Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly healing up from injuries. Fish is now a free agent, and has not been quiet in his complaints towards AEW and the likes of CM Punk. However, he has also tried to convince Cole & O’Reilly to try and get out of AEW.
Bobby Fish Wants To Bring Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly Back To WWE With Him
In a report from the Wrestling Observer forums, Bobby Fish reached out to both Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly to try and convince them to ask for their AEW releases. Both men would turn Fish down, seemingly happy with their roles in AEW. Fish seems to be on his way back into WWE, and likely knows that his highest potential spot on the card would come with a full Undisputed Era reunion.
For those who missed their run in WWE NXT, The Undisputed Era absolutely ran the brand – even at one point holding every mens championship aside from the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. It was one of the most dominant faction runs in WWE history, and led to some incredible matches. Right now, only Roderick Strong is left in WWE – and is the leader of the Diamond Mine faction.
Strong & Fish Could Still Bring Some Success To The WWE Main Roster
It’s likely some reunion of Fish & Strong will follow, potentially as a tag team on the WWE main roster. Triple H taking over gives them a great chance at success – but not as much as if Cole & O’Reilly were there as well. It’s believed both Cole & O’Reilly signed five year deals with AEW – whereas Fish only signed around a one year deal. Fish had some big chances in AEW, going after the TNT and AEW World Tag Team Championships.
