Meghan Markle believed that she would be the equivalent of ‘Beyoncé’ in the UK.
Meghan Markle Believed She Would Be The UK Version Of Beyoncé-‘She Lives With A Fairytale In Her Head,’ Says Fan
That is according to royal author Valentine Low in his book entitled, ‘Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown.’ Beyoncé is arguably one of the biggest superstars in the world. She has been accused of being a diva and getting her own way.
This parallel was most notably seen when Mariah Carey had uncharacteristically suggested that Meghan showcased some elements of being a diva herself, which all played out on the Duchess of Sussex’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast.
But once it became clear that Meghan had to abide by royal protocols, that is when things allegedly went downhill.
In his book, Valentine quoted a source who said the following: “What [Meghan] discovered was that there were so many rules that were so ridiculous that she couldn’t even do the things that she could do as a private individual, which is tough.”
It is not surprising, then, that Meghan spoke out about not having a voice in her controversial interview with ‘The Cut.’
Not only that, but royal expert Angela Levin made it very clear that Meghan failed to understand the concept of duty, which had to take precedence over one’s ambition.
After all, Meghan did disclose on her podcast that ambition was only viewed negatively once she started dating Prince Harry. As such, that was never going to play out well in the firm where everything was coordinated.
The following comments confirmed as much: “It just required the decision-makers to sit around a table and say, ‘OK, what are we going to do about this? What do you need to feel better? And what can we give?’”
The fans on social media brutally shaded Meghan in light of this revelation. And in the process of doing so, the comments were very brutal indeed. One person wrote: “She lives with a fairytale in her head. #ThePrincessDiaries.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
