Jeremy Clarkson has questioned the authenticity of Meghan Markle’s tears during the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
Jeremy Clarkson Questions Authenticity Of Meghan Markle’s Tears At Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral-‘Actors Can Cry On Demand’
The car enthusiast’s comments would fit in line with those who have suggested that perhaps Meghan’s tears were done in order to minimise the damage that had been done to her reputation.
After all, prior to the late monarch’s passing, she did receive a lot of backlash for her controversial interview with ‘The Cut’ that coincided on the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
And given that Meghan is known for being a seasoned actress, Jeremy was not convinced that her emotions were genuine. In his comments, he said: “Sure, we were shown pictures of you crying at the funeral.
“But you’re an actor, for crying out loud. And actors can cry on demand. Even I can. And, on a number of occasions, have.” Much in the same way, these sentiments were also being expressed by Piers Morgan.
It is no secret that the former is not the biggest fan of Meghan, as he has made it very clear in the past that he did not believe the veracity of her claims in the controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.
Although Jeremy sought to distance himself away from Piers, who has often been accused of being obsessed with talking about the Duchess of Sussex, on this occasion Jeremy felt that Piers had a point.
His following comments confirmed as much: “I don’t want to sound like Piers Morgan, who’s obsessed with the Markles, because I never want to sound like Piers Morgan.
“But I’m afraid there’s no way around it. He’s right. And I am going to sound like him when I say, ‘Those two are unhinged.” Ultimately, only Meghan knows what she was really feeling.
And outside of any alternative evidence to the contrary, it is possible to give her the benefit of the doubt. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
