Meghan Markle’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast is set to return on Spotify following the conclusion of the mourning period for Queen Elizabeth II.
Meghan Markle’s Archetypes Podcast Return Date Confirmed-‘Why Bother,’ Says Fan
The podcast was initially postponed following the passing of the late monarch, as the Sussexes paid their respects. And now that the funeral has been conducted, it seems that Meghan will pick up from where she left off.
The podcast is set to return on Tuesday, 4th October 2022 where the Duchess of Sussex will speak with Margaret Cho and journalist Lisa Ling.
Naturally, there are some question marks over how Meghan will approach the podcast. Will she mention the late monarch and leave a tribute, or will she avoid the topic altogether.
This is going to be an extremely difficult decision, as she could be criticised either way. By not mentioning it, this could be seen as a huge sign of disrespect.
Meanwhile, if Meghan were to address the topic, she could equally be accused of trying to monetise the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II. After all, Meghan has already received backlash when she did mention anything connected to the royals.
During the first episode of the podcast with Serena Williams, Meghan expressed how she became frustrated about having to attend a royal engagement in South Africa after she had found out that there had allegedly been a fire in her son Archie’s room.
But if she wants to stay true to her mantra of being ‘unfiltered’ then Queen Elizabeth II may become a talking point. The fans on social media were not enthusiastic about the podcast returning.
A significant proportion of fans simply felt that this was another attempt to make the narrative focus around Meghan. One person wrote: “Here we go again…#MeghanMarkle talking to #MeghanMarkleisaLiar about #MeghanMarkleisaBully.
“Why bother bringing on a guest @Spotify #MeghanMarkleisToxic it’s the me, me, me podcast every time.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
