Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly making drastic changes to their Netflix docuseries, their Reality TV show, and the former’s memoir following Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
Harry And Meghan Making Last Minute Changes To Their Content Following Queen Elizabeth II’s Death
It is no secret that the couple will have to tread very carefully moving forward with their content in light of the extensive backlash they could receive if they were to disclose further controversial revelations.
We have already seen this with the interviews on Oprah Winfrey and ‘The Cut.’ But with the late monarch’s passing, the backlash could be even more. With that being said, the Sussexes are proceeding with caution moving forward.
A source confirmed the following: “A lot of conversations are happening. I hear that Harry and Meghan want the series to be held until next year, they want to stall.
“I wonder if the show could even be dead in the water at this point, do Harry and Meghan just want to shelve this thing.” It is not just up to the couple though.
By signing such lucrative deals, each side will have to hold up their end of the bargain. As such, there is an expectation on the couple to disclose points of their lives that will generate a lot of talking points.
After all, they have to be able to justify such a fee, while also at the same time recognising that they do not want to breach any contracts they signed, thus putting the deal in jeopardy.
Another source stated: “Netflix has been keen to have the show ready to stream for December. There’s a lot of pressure on (Netflix CEO) Ted Sarandos who has the relationship with Harry and Meghan, to get this show finished.”
The fans on social media made their opinions very clear. A certain subset of people felt that the project should be scrapped altogether. One person wrote: “They need it to edit it out of existence !”
Time will tell how Harry and Meghan approach this. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
