There are few stars as synonymous with Wrestlemania as ‘The Phenom’ himself, The Undertaker. Despite being 54 years old, he is preparing for another match at the biggest event of the year. He has been spotted around the WWE Performance Center in Florida, where he is likely working off some ring rust as he has not competed since Extreme Rules 2019. At that event, he teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Baron Corbin & Drew McIntyre in a No Holds Barred tag match.
AJ Styles Rumored To Be Undertakers Opponent
While fans are still clamoring for a match between Undertaker & Sting, someone like Undertaker needs a top level worker to have him shine at this stage of his career. There are few better in WWE from an in-ring perspective than AJ Styles. The two time WWE Champion recently returned from a minor shoulder injury suffered at the Royal Rumble. While Edge was the one to injure him, Edge is in a heated feud with old partner turned rival Randy Orton. This leaves Styles without a clear path to Wrestlemania for the first time in his WWE run. If he calls out The Deadman, that would give him a match for this year, and one that some fans have been wanting since AJ joined WWE back in 2016.
How Long Does Undertaker Have Left?
With age being an issue, as well as wear and tear over a long career, it wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone if Undertaker retired soon. All of his iconic rivals have moved away from the ring, and he has had one of the best careers a wrestler could ever ask for. He is becoming a shell of his former self, something no performer ever wants to become. He only shows up a few times in a calendar year at this point, and while no one will ever complain about seeing Undertaker, his time is long past. A lock for a headline role at Hall Of Fame once he retires, his legacy will live on despite it being tarnished in matches like Undertaker vs. Goldberg and DX vs. Brothers of Destruction in recent years.
Will you be excited to see Undertaker back again? Should he finally just retire and leave the spotlight for younger talent? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
