Meghan Markle recalled her time being a briefcase model on the show ‘Deal or No Deal.’
Meghan ‘Bimbo’ Markle Recalls Her Time As A Briefcase Girl On Deal Or No Deal-‘I Ended Up Quitting, Was Being Objectified On That Stage’
The show sees contestants choose various boxes that contain monetary amounts. And in picking a briefcase, contestants rule out the chance to walk away with that amount.
Thereafter, they are given offers to make them exit the game or they can risk continuing to see if they can win a higher amount. And as part of that process, Meghan was given the task of opening the briefcase.
Although she did look back on it with some good memories, namely that it gave her an opportunity to earn a living, the fact of the matter is that there were issues plaguing the Duchess of Sussex.
In her comments on the ‘Archetypes’ podcast, she said: “I ended up quitting the show. I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage.
“I didn’t like feeling forced to be all looks and little substance, and that’s how it felt for me at the time being reduced to this specific archetype: the word ‘bimbo.”
Those were some very strong words indeed, given that Bimbo is defined as a woman that may be attractive but has no intelligence.
And this is something that her guest Paris Hilton has been portrayed as in the media, even if she has managed to build a brand that is worth millions of dollars.
With that being said, Meghan made it absolutely clear that she wanted her children, specifically her daughter Lilibet, to have a different outlook on life.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “I want our daughter to aspire to be slightly higher. Yeah, I want my Lili to want to be educated and want to be smart and to pride herself on those things.”
Regardless of what you may think about Meghan, she has managed to become successful in her own right even in the face of much criticism. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
