Over the past year, there’s been a lot of drama coming out of the locker room with All Elite Wrestling. There’s been backstage fights including the likes of Eddie Kingston, CM Punk, Kenny Omega, Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo – and we’ve seen owner Tony Khan have to crack down on these types of situations. However, Khan isn’t always in the locker room – but there are certain names keeping the peace backstage, and current TNT Champion Wardlow has revealed who three locker room leaders are.
Wardlow Reveals Three Locker Room Leaders In AEW
During a recent interview with the ESPR podcast, Wardlow would have a chance to speak on the state of the AEW locker room. Wardlow would be quoted saying the following about current locker room leader.
“Everybody backstage has done such a great job of communicating and we’ve been, honestly through all of the…you said chaos. Fourtantly, on the inside, it has made us so much tighter. I feel like since all of that stuff happened, these past couple of months have really changed the locker room. We have some really positive leadership, guys like Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson. They are true leaders and they are very passionate. They’ve done such a good job of getting the locker room together and on the same page and getting our company on the right track.”
Proven Professionals Are Easy To Look Up To
It’s no shock to see Danielson, Jericho & Moxley mentioned. Moxley & Jericho have been around in AEW since 2019 – and have built up plenty of respect for being professionals since then. Danielson only joined AEW’s roster in 2021, but as shown by helping the likes of Jade Cargill backstage, and Daniel Garcia on-screen, is the same type of professional.
These are men who have seen it all over their careers, and know how to defuse situations. We can only hope that there is less backstage drama in AEW in the months and years to come, as it can only do harm to backstage morale. Some will rise into locker room leaders as AEW goes on, with the likes of Wardlow & MJF possibly stepping up like that in the coming years.
