King Charles III reportedly felt betrayed by Meghan Markle’s tendency to speak out against the Royal Family.
King Charles III Felt Betrayed By Meghan
That is according to Royal expert Christopher Andersen. The Duchess of Sussex has not helped herself maintain cordial relations with the firm following a series of controversial interviews.
Her interview with Oprah Winfrey coincided with the deterioration in health of the late Prince Philip, as she accused someone in the Royal Family of having had reservations about her son Archie’s skin colour.
Not only that, but she admitted that she had been driven to having suicidal thoughts. This was then followed up by another interview with ‘The Cut’ which coincided with the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
In that said interview, Meghan had to clarify comments which were initially interpreted as her stating that Harry had lost his father. But after having clarified them, she made it clear that she was referring to her own father, Thomas Markle.
This was very hard to take since Charles was the one who had filled in for Meghan’s father in walking her down the aisle. In the clip here, we can see that Charles is walking with Meghan as she is dressed in her white wedding dress.
They lock arms and have massive smiles on their faces, as they could not look any happier. With that being said, Charles has been left hurting.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Christopher said the following: “I think — as far as the Charles is concerned, specifically — you know, he feels betrayed. I mean, he really was very fond of her. And I think he’s somewhat bewildered.”
The sentiment on social media was much the same. A certain subset of people could not help but sympathise with what Charles had been through.
One person wrote: “Poor KC I feel for him, I can only imagine how the queen felt towards her last months on earth with these two crooked x royals. Meghan is an ungrateful.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
