All Elite Wrestling brings us AEW Dynamite here tonight! Card run-down, in addition to the previously announced matches, we have a four way match between Shanna, Big Swole, Hikaru Shida and Yuka Sakazaki later tonight! And now our first match, amazingly it’s the Kenny Omega vs. PAC – the 30-Minute Ironman match! People freak out at the announcement, nobody expected it to be the opener! Omega gets a hot pop on his way out.
30-Minute Ironman Match: Kenny Omega vs. PAC
The two staring down intensely as the bell rings, big chant of “Kenny”! Lock-up, in the ropes, Kenny with the clean break. Wristlocks and arm wringer exchanges, crowd still chanting Kenny’s name. Exchanging wristlocks, PAC flips out of the hold and stares him down. They pieface one another, exchange of forearms, meaty chop from Kenny! Ducks a shot, basement dropkick to the legs! Hits the ropes, but runs into a Thrust Kick! Omega ducks a shot, wants his Snap Dragon, PAC blocks it, One Winged Angel attempt instead but PAC locks him in the Brutalizer mid-move! Omega slams him into the corner to break it!
Kenny charges, PAC with a boot up, charges right into a hurricarana! Terminator Clap! Hits the ropes twice, Terminator Dive! Kitaro Crusher for a 2 count! Kenny ties PAC up, big chop to the chest! And a second! Wants to whip, PAC blocks. Another meaty chop follows, whip reversals, Kenny gets him on the shoulders! You Can’t Escape combo starts but PAC avoids the moonsault, Kenny crashes and burns! PAC with the GO Behind but Kenny tosses him roughly into the corner, PAC stumbles out right into the Snap Dragon! Kenny wants the V-Trigger, PAC bails and gets big heat!
Kenny pursues him outside the ring, exchange of forearms! Kenny with a whip, PAC blocks o nthe apron, back elbow, goes up to the apron, Asai Moonsault, Kenny amazingly catches him but PAC reverses into a crazy Tornado DDT to the floor! “AEW” chant! PAC pulls Kenny to the apron, Omega reverses and slams his face into the top buckle! Goes up top but PAC blocks him, wants a Superplex! Kenny headbutts him to the mat!
Kenny wants a move but PAC rushes up the ropes at a startling speed, AVALANCHE BRAINBUSTER!
Brutal! “Holy shit” chant, PAC is too weakened to cover. They fight to their feet, PAC goes up top, Missile Dropkick! Cover for a 2 count. PAC holds Kenny down with a side headlock for a while, Kenny fights up, they exchange charging strike attempts, each block the other until PAC nails Kenny with a Cutter for a nearfall! Still no falls yet. “Kenny” chant! Hits the ropes, charging kick to the back of the head! Kneedrop to the face. “You’re A Bastard” chant as he grinds Kenny’s throat into the middle rope.
PAC chops him into the corner. Whip to the opposite corner reversed, Kenny blocks a kick, push kick sends PAC flying right into the corner, yikes! Exchange of forearms now! Both seem worn already. Elbows laid in! Kenny wins out, hits the ropes but takes a pump kick! PAC hits the ropes but eats a chop! Rebound Snap German Suplex! Kenny limply stands though, gets a couple of vicious V-Triggers!! Tiger Driver ’98 for a narrow nearfall!! Kenny wants a One Winged Angel, PAC is blocking it, might want a Poison Rana but Kenny tosses him and grabs him out of the air for a crazy German Suplex, stacked up for another close nearfall!
Starting to wonder if this will go the distance without a fall. Kenny with a V-Trigger to the back of the head of PAC in the corner! Gets him on his shoulders… takes him up to the top rope! Wants an Avalanche One Winged Angel but PAC reverses it into a Sunset Flip Bomb!! Takes Omega up top on the opposite side, “This IS Awesome” chant interrupted by Kenny sending PAC facefirst on the buckle! Snap Dragon, V-Trigger for a nearfall! Damn! PAC rolls out of the ring, load “This Is Awesome” chant as he pulls out a chair! Kenny pursues, PAC drives the top of the chair right into Kenny’s head!
The bell rings, PAC gets him with another one as the Bucks come in to assist! The clock has paused. The first fall, by DQ, is awarded to Kenny Omega. But he’s totally laid out. The 30 second interval expires. PAC with a wicked charging big boot in the corner lays him out, goes up top.
Black Arrow for the pin! The second fall is awarded to PAC!
Commercial break as the interval starts, we still have picture-in-picture. As the interval ends, we see PAC take Kenny to the floor and toss him into the barricade! PAC pummels him, gets him into the ring to keep working him over. Crowd tries to rile Kenny to his feet (I can see them) and PAC is hollering at ’em. Kenny fights his way up with forearms. Big chop lands but PAC responds with a spin kick to the gut, running kick to the side of the head! PAC pulls Kenny to the apron, Kenny fighting back as we come back from break. PAC lays in forearm, hooks for a suplex… FALCON ARROW TO THE FLOOR! Yikes!
“Holy Sh*t” chant seems to get the audio muted, “AEW” chant follows as the two of them are truly worn out now. PAC rolls into the ring, Kenny wants to get in but a brutal shotgun dropkick sends him flying and knocks out the referee as well! PAC pulls out a table from under the ring. As the officials and medics check on the ref, PAC pulls Kenny up onto the table! PAC up top now! SHOOTING STAR PRESS THROUGH THE TABLE!!! Referee is back up and in the ring, making the count now! PAC rolls into the ring at 9!
Kenny’s barely stirring… he makes it in at the very last second! I thought that’d be a fall there!
PAC is furious, the crowd is on their feet! Kenny still laid out on the mat though, PAC up top! Black Arrow but Kenny with the knees up at the last possible second! “Kenny” chant again! Omega with a V-Trigger, PAC looks knocked out! Hits the ropes, nails a second one! Crazy Sambo Suplex for a nearfall! Kenny rolls PAC to the side of the ring, hits the ropes, one more V-Trigger to the side of the head! Signals for the One Winged Angel, but PAC reverses this one with the Poison Rana! Hits the ropes, Tilt-A-Whirl DDT, transitions to the Brutalizer! Loud “Kenny” chant as he struggles!
There’s just a little over two minutes left! Kenny tries to roll through into a cover but PAC keeps it locked in, Kenny gets a foot on the ropes! PAC holds it on for as long as he can without a DQ with a minute and a half left! PAC wants the Brutalizer back on but Kenny’s blocking it! Elbows to the face! One minute remaining! Brutalizer is in again! Kenny fighting, reverses for a cover for a nearfall!! Kenny is fighting with all he has to break it! Gets out for a moment but PAC pulls him back in!!! Ten seconds left!
Kenny holds on… the bell rings and we have a 1-1 draw!
Before we even take a breath, we have a chant of “Five More Minutes”… PAC lays out the referee with an elbow to the face! Justin Roberts announces… this match will continue under Sudden Death rules! Kenny with a V-Trigger to PAC, Ripcord Knee!! Aubrey Edwards is in and gets a chant! Kamigoye, just falls on him for a nearfall! One Winged Angel nailed and that is that!

Hoooo, man. What an insane match that was. Ready to call that the best TV match of the year thus far, absolutely insane to think that was the opener. Almost took forty minutes!
