King Charles III reportedly wants Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to attend his Coronation next year.
King Charles III Wants Harry And Meghan To Attend Coronation-Says Royal Expert Christiana Maxion
That is according to royal expert Christiana Maxion. Reports indicate that the Coronation is set to take place on Saturday, 6th May 2022 which just so happens to be the same day as Archie’s 4th birthday.
This could prove problematic since the chances of the Sussexes backdating, advancing or missing the birthday all together for the sake of the Coronation are very slim.
In addition, with Harry’s memoir still yet to be released, there are question marks over whether it will be damaging towards the monarchy.
And if it does end up being so, then the couple are hardly going to make it on the guest list. And when it comes to that said guest list, those that will attend have yet to be confirmed.
Despite those background issues lingering, the presence of the Sussexes would go a long way in showing that King Charles III has the backing and unity of his family.
In her comments, Christiana said: “With the passing of the Queen, there is no doubt that family dynamics have changed, and I am sure Harry’s father, King Charles, would want him at his upcoming coronation at least.”
Either way, whatever the Sussexes do, this could end up backfiring. If they were not to attend, this could be interpreted as a major sign of disrespect.
However, if they did proceed to come, then there could be the possibility that the couple were viewed as rogue members trying to fight off the establishment.
The following comments confirmed as much: “Meghan could strengthen in a possible ‘us against the world’ fashion, which always leads to more exclusion and battle.”
There is still a long way to go before the Coronation, but one thing for sure is that the Sussexes will still be a talking point one way or another.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
