Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, has been described as treating her daughter as a child.

That is according to professional voice analyst, Judi James. This comment arrived in response to Doria’s appearance on Meghan’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast. And as part of that process, Doria ended up FaceTiming Meghan.
In doing so, Meghan let slip about her interactions with Doria which still includes a special handshake that they do which was devised when Meghan was just 8.
So once the call happened, it is fair to say that the two spoke to each other as though they had never grown. In her comments, Meghan said: “Hey, Mummy,” as Doria replied: “Hey, how’s my girl?”
Meghan then responded by stating: “Hey, I’m okay, I’m hanging in there, it’s okay, I’m recording right now. Do you want to see?” With that being said, Judie could not help but notice the childlike manner between them.
This was significant for the following reasons. First of all, Meghan’s relationship with her father Thomas Markle is non-existent. Therefore, Doloria’s influence may have filled that void.
Secondly, it also demonstrates that Meghan and Doloria have become a lot closer. After all, it is no secret that Meghan is not on very good terms with the royals.
And who could forget the fact that Doria was the only one to attend Meghan’s wedding from her family. In her comments, Judie remarked: “Doria is so much in ‘Mummy’ mode here.
“Her voice is set at a higher pitch as though she is talking to a child and Meghan immediately modifies her softer, lower, more soothing pitch that she uses on her podcast to mirror and match her mother’s mother/child energy.”
As long as the two are on good terms, then who are we to say otherwise. And that is the most important thing regardless of what others may have to say.
