When we’d see that Wheeler Yuta was signed to All Elite Wrestling, it was clear big things were in-store for the promising indy wrestler. He was paired with The Best Friends faction, before being recruited into the Blackpool Combat Club. Since then, he’s shown signs of being a future main event star in AEW – notably having a program with MJF, where he held his own both in the ring, and shockingly – on the microphone.
Wheeler Yuta Is Pushing To Improve
While the in-ring abilities of Yuta were never in question, his skills on the microphone were never viewed as a strong part of his skill-set. He knew this, and is pushing to improve. Yuta would have the following to say about this in a recent interview with the MackMania podcast.
“Just very recently, I’ve grabbed the microphone and started to have a lot more talking on the show and that’s something I’ve never…you don’t really do that on the independent scene. You just go along, have your match, and that’s it. I haven’t really done a lot of these interactions, especially not on this scale. That’s definitely an area I can improve and I think I’ll get better at. I think you can see improvement in the few times that I have cut promos on TV. That’s certainly a big area I’d like to improve on and we’re getting there, we’re continuing to move forward there.”
Professional Wrestling Is All About Constant Improvements
It’s an important task in professional wrestling to know that you’re not perfect and push to improve. Recent promos with Yuta have shown a noticeable increase in confidence, with him able to feel like he believes everything he says. Being paired with Jon Moxley & William Regal gives him two experts to learn from, alongside a slew of backstage names like Jake Roberts always offering help to those who seek it.
Yuta is in the same camp as the likes of MJF, Daniel Garcia, and Sammy Guevara as future top stars of the promotion – and one day could well be main eventing PPV’s for the company. Will Yuta continue to improve on the microphone? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
