Fans have reacted to King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla having eggs thrown at them.

According to reports, the duo were on a royal engagement during a visit in York on Wednesday, 9th November 2022. During the course of that process, they were simply looking into the distance when things escalated.
In the clip here, we can see that the eggs have been thrown but they have just missed the pair. The camera shows the eggs on the floor, while the perpetrator was dealt with.
After an investigation, the person responsible was none other than Extinction Rebellion activist Patrick Thelwell. The organisation is known for its policy of attempting to prevent ‘mass extinction.’
And by the looks of it, Patrick had a lot to say. In his comments, he allegedly said: “This country was built on the blood of slaves.” Thereafter, the authorities apprehended him as the justice system will now proceed with his case.
This incident only goes on to show just how unpopular the current monarch and Queen Consort Camilla could be.
There is no denying that they are not the most popular members since they did happen to engage in an affair while Charles was still married to the late Princess Diana.
In addition, with Prince Harry’s memoir set to come out in the New Year, there are serious question marks over whether or not this would be damaging towards him and Camilla.
The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter. A certain subset of people did not hold back on their condemnation for the monarchy, as the comments were brutal.
One person wrote: “Hope they were rotten eggs, best suited for a man of his stature and standing.” It is fair to say that this was not Charles’ finest moment, which is why he will be looking to put it behind him as soon as possible.
