Tim Allen Raves About His ‘Close Friend’ Tom Hanks
The two are very well aware of each other after having played two major movie characters in the Toy Story franchise. Tim, for his part, played the character of Buzz Lightyear.
Meanwhile, Tom is known for playing Woody. And speculation emerged that another Toy Story movie could be in the works after they were seen having some food together.
Not only that, but Chris Evans’ role in ‘Lightyear’ was not anything to write home about in comparison to the original movies.
But for all the rumours about another movie, Tim simply wanted to let everyone know how much he admires Tom.
In an interview on the ‘Kelly Clarkson Show,’ he said: “Tom and I have become really close friends from ‘Toy Story.
“We’ve been going to lunch since ‘Toy Story 1,’ you know, twice, two or three times a year, and we’re like two older women.”
Despite being close friends, Tim did admit that they were very different people. Allen expanded on how they do not see eye to eye on many different issues, but fell short on expanding what those were.
In addition, he admitted that Tom’s wife, Rita Wilson, was also intrigued about what conversations they would have.
Tim’s following comments confirmed as much: “I don’t think I’ve ever trusted a human being as much as Tom to even listen to me and vice versa.”
The fans on social media were hopeful that another movie could be in the works. And in the process of doing so, they praised two major actors for the contribution they had given to the story.
One person wrote: “Two Great talents in their own right. This is what the entertainment industry should always shoot for, but, sadly, all too often fall short.”
