The award given to Sussexes for calling out the Royal Family for ‘structural racism’ has been reacted to by Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Markle.
Samantha Markle Slams Harry And Meghan’s Human Rights Award For Speaking Out Against Structural Racism-‘Bonkers, Racism In The Monarchy Is A Grave Misconception’
The couple will receive the RFK Human Rights Award as part of the ‘Ripple of Hope’ award gala that is set to take place on Tuesday, 6th December 2022.
But given that the authenticity of the Sussexes’ Oprah interview has been questioned, as shown by royal expert Angela Levin claiming there were over 30 lies, Samantha has been left puzzled by the award.
In her comments, she said: “I think the Ripple of Hope award really is bonkers on the grounds that everybody knows it was salient in the media.
“The Oprah interview was chocked full of lies.” Nevertheless, those comments have to be read in light of the recent revelations.
Prince William’s godmother, Lady Susan Hussey, has resigned from her royal duties after receiving backlash for allegedly asking domestic abuse charity head, Ngozi Fulani, repeatedly where she was from.
As such, this may suggest that Harry and Meghan made credible claims that someone in the firm had reservations over Archie’s skin colour.
Secondly, if the couple do not accept the award, then there would be suggestions that they did not believe in their own claims. And yet, Samantha continued to double down on her beliefs.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “The Oprah interview was based on lies, the racism in the Monarchy is a grave misconception. I don’t think there’s any truth to it at all.”
The fans on social media did back up Samantha’s claims. A certain subset agreed that Meghan’s Oprah account was not credible, which is why they praised Samantha for speaking up.
One person wrote: “Good for you Sammy. Not enough people who know her are calling her out. She’s a fraud and a liar and these fools are giving her an award for lying! @SammyMarkleReal.”
