Sources have stated that Prince Harry anticipated a strong response from the Royal Family in advance of his and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Sources Claim Prince Harry Knew His Oprah Interview Would Harm The Royal Family
In 2021, the couple had an extensive meeting with the American television star during which they made several astonishing assertions against the Royal Family.
It is said that some of the shock came before the televised part of the conversation, as the Prince allegedly criticised the British public.
Harry had reportedly told a friend before the interview the following: “This is going to be quite shocking. Those Brits [had to] learn a lesson.”
The discussion with Winfrey was a landmark event for the duo’s fresh autonomous life in the USA, with multiple disconcerting disclosures distancing them from their British relatives.
The couple alleged that someone in the firm had reservations over their son, Archie’s skin colour. Not only that, but Meghan was allegedly driven to the point where she was having suicidal thoughts.
With that being said, sources believe that the pair’s Netflix docuseries will follow a similar route. The following comments confirmed as much: “[The docuseries will have a narrative that] Harry had to be removed from his family…[It is] very driven by Meghan.”
The response on social media was very hostile towards Harry. This was on the grounds that some felt he had exploited his family for the sake of generating money. And in the process of doing so, the comments towards the Duke of Sussex were very harsh.
One person wrote: “He’s a pompous brat coming out with such comments. He has no idea what the ‘Brits’ need,” while another person stated: “I think that you are your own penniless Judas who is living beyond ur means getting an award from the woke America.”
