King Charles III was once again the target of an egg-throwing incident, resulting in the arrest of the assailant for committing common assault.
King Charles III Humiliated After Man Arrested For Throwing Egg At Him
His security team quickly took action to remove him from the site of the incident which happened in St George’s Square in Luton. Charles, who is seventy-four years old, seemed unaffected by the incident and quickly resumed his handshakes with the people after being shifted to a different location.
And yet, it was only just last month that Patrick Thelwell, aged 23, was taken into custody for chucking an egg at the King and Queen Consort Camilla during their royal engagement in York.
On Wednesday, 9th November 2022, the royal pair had just come to the city to reveal a monument in memory of the previous monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, at York Minster when somebody from the audience threw four eggs, none of which hit their target.
Once again this goes on to show the unpopular sentiment surrounding the current monarch. After all, he was not the most popular member after having damaged his reputation following his affair with Queen Consort Camilla during his marriage to the late Princess Diana.
Not only that, but with his upcoming Coronation next year, this has shown that Charles has a lot to do in following in the footsteps of the former monarch.
The response on social media demonstrated that Charles was not in very good standing with the public. And in the process of doing so, people questioned whether he had what it took to be a King.
One person wrote: “I must admit I don’t like Charles as king he’s to woke and to much of a people pleaser to the wrong people.”
The sooner this incident is put behind him, then the better it will be for the monarchy moving forward. And that is the most important thing.
