This Sunday, fans will be treated to the third ever tag team elimination chamber match. With double the participants, we an assure double the chaos. The Smackdown Tag Team Championships are on the line, and all six teams are hungry for victory. Perhaps none more than the champions themselves, John Morrison & The Miz.Can they win Elimination Chamber?
Tons Of Tag Team Experience
John Morrison & The Miz are in their first reign with these particular titles, but have achieved tag team glory in the past. They previously held the WWE Tag Team Championships back in 2007 and the World Tag Team Championships in 2008. Their reunion is still fairly fresh, but their past experience has served them well in the hunt for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships, and could come in handy in defending as well.
Both Men Have Experienced Elimination Chamber
While this is their first tag team Elimination Chamber match, both men have some experience in the unforgiving structure. The Miz was involved in 3 past chamber matches, in 2012, 2017 & 2018. He was not victorious in any of them, but this will give him a clear edge in understanding the strategy he needs to employ in this next match. John Morrison comes in with two matches worth of experience, having been involved in 2010 & 2011. These came before his leaving WWE, and he has improved greatly. With 5 years of combined experience, they have more than any other team in this match.
No Champions Advantage For Miz & Morrison
Despite having the tag team experience & match experience to be a favorite in this match, they can’t rely on many tricks to win this match. While one member would need to be beaten for them to be removed, they have five teams who can just gang up on them to ensure a new champion going into Wrestlemania. They failed to get the final entry in the gauntlet match on this past episode of Smackdown, which is the only advantage they could have gotten going into this match.
If they want to walk into Wrestlemania still the Smackdown Tag Team Champions, this Sunday will be do or die for Miz & Morrison. They have fallen to a few falls in recent weeks, but we can expect them to come in with iron focus on Sunday.
