John Morrison Takes Shot At Seth Rollins on WWE The Bump
John Morrison recently returned to WWE after his 9 year tour of the independent ciruit, and he has one man he sorely wants to face in WWE. That is former Universal Champion Seth Rollins. Morrison has spoke in the past about wanting to fight Seth Rollins, and it seems he is stoking the flames to make this match happen.
John Morrison and His Comments
During an appearance on WWE The Bump, John Morrsion made some comments about Rollins. “He’s clearly an accomplishment-oriented guy, right? He’s citing all his past accomplishments. I feel like this is a guy who’s been drinking a lot of his own Kool-Aid, if you know what I mean. Sometimes you shouldn’t be drinking that much of your own Kool-Aid. He likes to talk about how he’s the best, which is not something original in wrestling – like, Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect, HBK, Punk, Jericho – everyone likes to say they’re the best, but Rollins believes it and tweets about it, and tells everybody about it. Pretty much non-stop. I think he’s a Build-A-Bear Superstar, he’s a combination of a lot of guys.”
It’s hard to argue he is wrong in this way. Seth Rollins has long had the issue of not really having anything unique about him. He is a fantastic wrestler, but lacks what would take him from great to legendary. His look is good, his in ring and promo ability is second to none, he has the trademarks of a top guy in wrestling. But is there anything truly unique about him? That’s hard to say.
When Could We See Him Face Seth Rollins
This match is something that would be a first time ever match-up, and it would be a shame to see it wasted on a throwaway match on Monday Night RAW. I would have them clash in the Royal Rumble, have Morrison eliminate Rollins, and have that set up a match down the line. It might not be Wrestlemania big, and lord knows WWE wouldn’t be able to resist having them not tie up over the next 5 months anyways. I just hope where ever we see it, we get the best match we could get from the two performers, and not a boring 15 minute match riddled with rest holds.
