An expert on all things royal-related has asserted that Prince Harry was quite insistent about wanting a formal picture of his daughter, Lilibet, with the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Prince Harry Was Desperate To Get A Picture Of Lilibet And Queen Elizabeth II Together
Harry and Meghan Markle took their two kids, Archie who was three and Lilibet who was one, from their residence in California to the UK to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
During the trip, the former monarch had the opportunity to meet Lilibet. This was the first chance that she had the opportunity to do so.
At the gathering, Harry and Meghan were apparently eager to take a photo. However, it is said that the Queen refused this request as she had a bloodshot eye at that moment. And yet, it appears that Harry was keen on doing so.
In her comments, Camilla Tominey said: “Harry was ‘persistent’, according to those party to the meeting, expressing a desire to get an official snap of the two Lilibets together at some point in the future.
“But of course, it was never to be. She died three months later.” Despite this being the case, these comments are significant for the following reasons. First of all, it may suggest that had the Queen been better, she may have taken the photo.
This is irrespective of whether or not the photo could have been exploited by the Sussexes for the sake of financial gain. Secondly, now there is no opportunity to take a photo, it may have left Harry with some regrets.
The response on social media differed, though. A certain subset of people felt that this was an attempt to prevent the commercialisation of any photos that could have emerged.
And in the process, they praised the late monarch. One person wrote: “The queen was too astute to agree for a photo for Harry and Megan to auction it off at the highest price.”
