Prince William and Kate Middleton have officially released the Christmas card photo for this year.
This year in Norfolk, William and Kate were captured in a photograph while strolling with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis in the cheerful weather.
The youngsters were wearing short-sleeved shirts and shorts, whereas the adults were attired in jeans and sneakers. Every year, the royals display their favourite pictures on the cards they send out during the holiday season.
This year, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla presented their cards. The snap was taken at the Braemar Royal Highland Gathering held on 3 September when Charles was still a Prince.
Sadly, Queen Elizabeth II died five days later at the age of 96. This year’s cards brings with it a renewed focus on the bond between William and his brother, Prince Harry, in light of the recently aired Netflix documentary, Harry and Meghan.
Therefore, it is vital to show that the Royal Family is more united than ever. After all, Harry has claimed that ‘they’ were willing to lie in order to protect his brother, the reference to they will become clear in due course once the second installment of the docuseries airs.
Judi James, who happens to be a body language expert, had this to say: “[This is a] casual and united team here. [They are] very relatable-looking outfits with William’s trainers looking well-worn and scuffed.
“There’s no attempt to signal a more formal and impersonal look here, where only Kate seems to have a more regal-looking glow.” The picture went down very well on social media.
A significant proportion of the fan base marvelled at how well the family was looking in light of everything they had been through following Queen Elizabeth II’s recent passing.
One person wrote: “Lovely family photo but it must be the least Christmas looking card, I have ever seen.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
