With the current trend of returning stars, ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers are curious what other surprises are in store.
There are plenty of possibilities, and one of those is the return of Melissa Ordway’s real life husband Justin Gaston.
He reportedly got along great with the cast and crew thanks to his wife being part of the show for so long, but fans were hit or miss with him when he filled in as Chance Chancellor in 2020 following Donny Boaz’s Covid 19 diagnosis.
We enjoyed him in that role, but there’s a chance he could come back to the show at some point.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: A villain?
While there’s plenty of character archetypes Justin could play, SheKnows.com shared a conversation where that topic came up and Justin talked about how fun it’d be to play a villain in a redemption story.
“I think a villain would be fun. Maybe come in as a villain, have a little vendetta maybe. It’d be fun to go in and mess some stuff up, you know, be the bad guy.”
He enjoyed remarrying his wife on the show, so his ultimate idea is he’d be saved by Abby’s love.
“Abby’s love could change him.”
It’d make an interesting storyline and could be a possibility down the road, but at the moment there are a couple of obstacles in the way.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Too much in play
There are a handful of villains already in Genoa City, with two of them being homegrown as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) have lost themselves in their quest for revenge.
And we can’t forget the impact Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will make down the road, but if handled right it could work depending on how Justin is introduced.
Then there’s the possibility of Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) entering into a relationship.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers doubt their one time fling and subsequent teases are going to end there, but things could always go sideways.
Given how they messed up their own lives as well as each other’s, they are currently the perfect pairing since they don’t have anyone else.
Once these storylines are over, there is plenty of ways for Justin to return so we’ll have to see if he’s returning and what’s planned for him.
