‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers finds that star, John Aniston’s final appearance as Victor Kiriakis aired on Peacock Monday with a touching tribute to his 37 years on the show. This comes over a month after he passed away at 89 on November 11.
The final episode for late reality show star, John Aniston featured some kind of redemption arc for his tough crime boss character. In the Christmas-themed episode, viewers saw a clash between his character, Victor, and his nephew, Sonny (played by Zach Tinker), who wanted to bring his ex-husband home for the holidays, but was refused by Victor. He later changed his mind, and said, “I changed my mind because I have a heart of gold.”

The emotional episode also added a highlight reel of the late DOOL star’s best moments that recapped his character’s almost four-decade trajectory. At the end of the episode, a younger Victor sails into the sunset on a yacht – which is expected to be the characters’ last time on the show.
Before he died, John Aniston bagged the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Daytime Emmy Awards for his character, Victor. John’s award was presented by his daughter, actress, Jennifer Aniston “This is truly a special moment for me,” said the actress said. “It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad.”
“For over 30 years, his dedication to that show has gained him respect and admiration of his fellow actors, deep friendships and thrilled millions of fans around the world,” she added. “His career is literally the definition of lifetime achievement.”
On November 14, 2022, Jennifer announced her dad’s death. She shared sweet pictures of her dad, and captioned it with, “Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston.” “You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew. I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace — and without pain. And on 11/11 no less! You always had perfect timing. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now 🕊️I’ll love you till the end of time💔”
