‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers here and we’re set for one of the moments we’re looking forward to, but also aren’t.
December 26’s episode is Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston)’s final episode, and instead of a weekly preview video, the show put up a video with Wally Kurth (plays Justin Kiriakis) talking about John a little and how they’re going to do a tribute to him after Monday’s episode.
It’s going to be a fun yet sad event as he’s going to nail Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) with a one liner the likes of which he’s famous for, but we doubt that’ll be his final line.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Monday, December 26: Paying tribute
It’s hard to put into words what Victor has meant to the lives of people in Salem and watching at home, much less John’s influence on the cast and crew behind the scenes.
We expect to see plenty of flashbacks and a few scenes where he was at his best as well as the cast and crew talking about him.
One of our first memories of him was Victor having difficulties with a house guest, and it’s going to be a pretty cool throwback considering his issues with Leo.
But more than that, he did a phenomenal job portraying a lovable curmudgeon. Sure, he’s a former crime boss. Sure, he has no filter and is blunt. But that was part of his charm.
We never knew what he was going to say and that increased the possibility of made every scene with him one to remember.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Monday, December 26: Moving forward
While we’ll see a great look back at his career, ‘Days of Our Lives‘ Spoilers can’t ignore the fact that he set the bar high for the future of the show.
He brought out the best of anyone he worked with, and in many ways his talent and skill is extremely rare.
It’s something every show can say as each had their fair share of iconic characters and actors through the years that were levels above others and they captured our attention, respect, and love with a simple look, gesture, or phrase.
As we get ready to say goodbye to one of the greats, we also look forward to seeing who will step up to help take the show to the next level as he helped to do during his time there.
In the end. It’s going to be a great moment that’ll help us say goodbye to him while also remembering the good times he gave us over his 40 year career, and we’re going to need plenty of comfort food for this one.
