While Adam Cole vs. Velveteen Dream over the NXT Championship will be a huge match for NXT Takeover Tampa, we are headed towards another Gargano vs. Ciampa war in the main event slot. With hostilities taking form once again after Gargano would cost Ciampa the NXT Championship, they have picked up where they left off before Ciampa injured his neck. Fans were promised Gargano explaining himself on this night, but as the show drew near it’s end, Ciampa took matters into his own hands.
Johnny Gargano Didn’t Forget
Tommaso Ciampa would make his way down to the ring, and demand Gargano finally explains himself. This would prompt Johnny to appear on the big screen to speak to Ciampa from a safe distance. He would explain that while NXT fans accepted Ciampa back as a hero, he has never forgotten what Ciampa has done. Ciampa was the one who killed DIY and nearly Gargano himself on a few occasions. Just because he came back from injury doesn’t clear his past sins. While Johnny would finally explain his actions, Ciampa hunted him down, knowing the performance center layout well. It wouldn’t take long before this turned into one of the craziest brawls in NXT history.
Brawling All Through The Perfomance Center
Making perfect use of the temporary setting for this weeks NXT, Gargano and Ciampa went to war. They brawled through the halls and into the gym area of the Performance Center. Ciampa had the upper hand until Gargano sprayed him in the eyes with something and threw him through a window. They would attack each other with weights cause insane amounts of damage. Eventually they found their way back to the ringside area, where Ciampa would slam a chair into the face of Gargano with his knee, causing a huge fall.
They would brawl up to the top of a perch above the announce table. Gargano once again got the upper hand, and would remove a railing and attempt to throw Ciampa off. This would fail, Ciampa would grab Gargano and nail an Air Raid Crash through the table. This was the same maneuver Ciampa used when D.I.Y broke up, but this time it left both men mangled on the floor. If this brawl was an indication, their upcoming match at Tampa will end their rivalry, as they need to be stopped before serious injury occurs.
