King Charles III And Queen Consort Camilla Greeted By Royal Fans On New Year’s Day Service
They both received a warm welcome from their supporters, with the King wearing a tweed coat, brown shoes, and a patterned tie, and Camilla wearing a dark coat adorned with a brooch.
This visit happened just a few days before the publication of Prince Harry’s tell-all book that is due out on Tuesday, 10th January 2022.
The two were reviving the royal custom of going to the Church of St Mary Magdalene on New Year’s Day. This had been halted due to the pandemic and the failing health of the former monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
Nevertheless, the visit will be clouded by Harry’s memoir. There are concerns that the New Year will be a very difficult period for the firm since the book could cast Charles and Camilla in a negative light.
In addition, there are also question marks over how damning it will be towards Prince William. Sources who are familiar with the situation are apprehensive that the siblings will not be able to patch up their relationship after the book.
The following comments confirmed as much: “Generally, I think the book [will be] worse for them than the royal family is expecting. Everything is laid bare.
“Charles comes out of it better than it had expected, but it’s tough on William, in particular, and even Kate gets a bit of a broadside.”
The fans on social media had a positive experience of meeting the monarch to mark the New Year. And in the process of doing so, the comments were very warm indeed.
One person wrote: “Charles is such a lovely warm genuine gentleman. I’m glad I got the opportunity to meet him in person, some years back.”
