Prince Harry munched on Nando’s chicken and inhaled nitrous oxide to ease his anxiety when his son, Archie, was born.
Prince Harry Ate Nandos Chicken And Had Laughing Gas During Archie’s Birth
According to his memoir, Spare, Meghan Markle ‘hopped on a big purple ball’ as she started labor and then got in a bath and listened to soulful hymns while Harry lit the room with electric candles and put a picture of Princess Diana, on a table in the birthing room.
Harry recounted the remarkable sight he witnessed at London’s Portland Hospital in May 2019, confessing he had taken nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, to raise his spirits. This substance is often used as an analgesic.
In his book, he wrote: “I saw two ways of enhancing my calm. One: Nando’s chicken (brought by our bodyguards). Two: A canister of laughing gas beside Meg’s bed.
“I took several slow, penetrating hits. Meg, bouncing on a giant purple ball, a proven way of giving Nature a push, laughed and rolled her eyes. I took several more hits and now I was bouncing too.”
He expresses that when a nurse attempted to provide Meghan with laughing gas for her distress, the canister was found to be empty. He recounts how the nurse surveyed the vacant cylinder and then shifted her gaze to him.
Once it was established that Archie had escaped any potential entanglement by his umbilical cord, both Meghan and Harry were overcome with elation. The fans on social media were shocked by the revelations.
This was on the basis that people could not understand why someone would decide to disclose this to the public in the first place. One person wrote: “I can’t quite believe he thinks this is appropriate information to share.
“With anyone. This is beyond bizarre.” It is fair to say that this was not Harry’s finest moment at all. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
