Following NXT x NXT UK: Worlds Collide, Tyler Bate would vanish from TV. He had lost the NXT UK Championship in a hard fought match with Bron Breakker, and it was time for him to collect his thoughts. Now, Tyler Bate is back in NXT – and this time he isn’t planning on going away. The Triple Crown Champion of NXT UK is ready to take the United States by storm, and prove that his best years are still ahead of him. He’d even save the fans from a Javier Bernal concert, in case anyone in the arena didn’t already love him.
Tyler Bate Makes His Return To NXT
Bernal would reject a handshake to start this match, before being outmatched by the World Of Sport inspired grappling of Bate. A tight headlock would be applied by Bernal, with Bate easily shoving his way free before hitting a big dropkick. Bate would grab a wrist lock, before Bernal would use a thumb to the eye to get free.
Bernal would hit a stiff lariat to gain the upperhand, before grinding his forearm into the face of Bate on the mat. Back elbow smashes from Bate would follow, before an exploder suplex and running shooting star press. Tyler Driver ‘97 would be blocked, but Bop & Bang would not – with Bate landing the Boing Lariat next and finishing with Tyler Driver ‘97.
Never Tell Roxanne Perez The Odds
Earlier tonight, Toxic Attraction would make a promise that Roxanne Perez would regret becoming NXT Women’s Champion at Vengeance Day – but they won’t need to wait until the PPV to face the champion. Following a two on one attack on Lyra Valkyria earlier in the night – a main event was set. Perez & Valkyria are a new team, while Gigi Dolin & Jayne are two time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Perez would kick things off with Jayne, with Lyra helping to clear the ring as Dolin got involved. Lyra hit the dropkick on Dolin through the ropes after Perez dived onto Jayne. Back in the ring, Perez would wrench the arm before Lyra would hit some stiff strikes in the ring on Jayne. Perez would get a two count off a stiff dropkick, before the cradle pinfall got another near fall.
Dolin got a tag and ran into a hip toss from Lyra before taking a back elbow from Perez for a two count. Jayne & Dolin would work together on a neckbreaker, with Dolin getting a two count. Some Kawada style kicks to the face would follow, before a running senton from Jayne for a two count.
Lyra was taken off the apron for a moment with a cheap shot, with Perez able to use this to gain the advantage off a facebuster. Perez got the tag as Dolin hit the ring, with Lyra throwing stiff strikes at Toxic Attraction before a suplex to Dolin followed by a top rope splash. Cora Jade would rush the ring to shove Lyra down, and Perez would get the tag.
Lyra went after Jade on the apron – brawling to the back. The champion was left alone with an established team, and Toxic Shock was avoided. Pop Rocks would follow, and Perez wins.
