Prince William revealed his wife Kate Middleton is an expert in the kitchen, but he can also make a good steak, as he took part in a cooking program for young carers recently.
Prince William Raves Over Kate’s Cooking Skills-‘Catherine’s Very Good, I Do A Mean Steak’
The 40-year-old Prince visited the Together as One headquarters in Slough prior to its 25th anniversary.
The charity was created in the late 1990s in response to street brawls among young people in the Berkshire region. The organisation is supporting all youngsters regardless of their faith or cultural background.
William was in a good mood when he greeted the volunteers at the facility and then proceeded to make chicken teriyaki and noodles for lunch.
He was shown around to familiarise himself with the charity’s projects, which focused on mental health and addressed bullying, knife crime, and racism.
After that, he joined the charity’s Global Grub cooking programme to teach youngsters who were taking care of themselves by learning how to cook nourishing meals.
In his comments, William said: “Oh it smells good in here. What time is it? 10, 11 in the morning? It’s making my stomach rumble.
“I do a bit of cooking, not much though. Catherine’s very good though. I do a mean steak. My sauces come out quite dry or lumpy – I’ve got to work on those.”
Subsequently, William encountered teenage volunteers who had been involved in various initiatives in their neighbourhood.
This included things such as giving out clothing and food to individuals who are living on the streets, advocating against violence towards women and girls, as well as teaching their classmates in schools how to settle their disputes without resorting to violence.
And this is something that went down very well on social media. One person wrote: “Well done William. Your grandmother would be proud. Keep Calm and Carry On. God bless her.”
