As of late, Brooks Jensen & Kiana James have been something of a couple in WWE. This was initially something that Fallon Henley & Josh Briggs disagreed with, considering James wanted to purchase the family bar of Henley, and turn it into apartments. However, after The Battle of The Bar, with Henley no longer worrying about James – they would accept the love of Jensen & James. Tonight, Henley & James team up to take on Diamond Mine duo, Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley.
Kiana James Works Fast With Cheating To Bring Tag Team Victory
We’d see a disagreement as Henley & James couldn’t agree who started the match with Nile. She’d be quick to take Henley down with a mat return before going for the flying armbar. Henley would fight the hold off, before Paxley got the tag and hit a perfect springboard dropkick.
James & Henley would get on the same page and cut Paxley down, with James hitting the splash in the corner. Paxley would kick James off into the tag – with Nile & Henley trading kicks in the corner. Henley would have a scoop slam blocked into the Dragon Sleeper, with James helping her free.
James would proceed to trip Nile up, allowing for Henley to hit the running kick to the head. Moving fast, James would keep Paxley from making the save – and this match was over. It wasn’t a clean victory – but a win is a win.
Apollo Crews And Carmelo Hayes Agree To Best Two Out Of Three Falls Match
Apollo Crews has had his issues with Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams in 2023, losing to Hayes in a singles match to start the year. He was able to get his win back alongside Axiom, and tonight – he invaded the favourite barber shop of the former NXT North American Champion… despite being bald. Crews would praise the shop, saying that he gets why Melo likes it.
Hayes would march in and ask why Crews is in his chair. Crews would say that Hayes is starting to understand that he will never move past Crews, as they’re two men looking for the same spot. Hayes would say that Crews is jealous, because Hayes is a younger, faster and better version of Crews.
He’d go on to say that the NXT Championship belongs around his waist, but Crews says it looks even better around his. Both men have a win – so the call would be made for Vengeance Day. It’s going to take more than one fall to win this rubber match, as it will be Best Two Out Of Three Falls.
Iron Sharpens Iron As Drew Gulak & Hank Walker Meet The Creed Brothers
Earlier tonight, we’d see Hank Walker & Drew Gulak train with The Creed Brothers. There was some disagreements on training styles – and this leads to a big time tag team match here tonight. The Creed Brothers are looking to up their game ahead of a match with Indus Sher, and Gulak is a great test.
Gulak & Julius Creed would kick this match off with a sprawl on the mat. The arm of Julius would be targeted, and Walker would keep the pressure on the arm as he got the tag. Things fell apart as the heavy hitting Brutus would get the tag, hitting a swift Fireman’s Carry.
Julius would follow up with a slam of his own, before Walker & Gulak would send The Creed Brothers from the ring. After a commercial break, Gulak would have Brutus isolated in the corner – only for Brutus to do what he does best, and that’s smash. Walker & Julius would get tags, with this a test for Walker, but he was cut down with some running forearm smashes.
Gulak ran into an exploder suplex, with Walker taking one himself. Julius would hit a standing Shooting Star Press, before Brutus would hit a standing moonsault. Brutus would hit the Pounce to send Gulak from the ring, only for Walker to catch Julius with the Wheelbarrow slam into the cross armbreaker.
Julius would be able to prevent the full extension and made the tag to Brutus. Walker & Brutus would drop each other with a lariat, and Gulak was distracted by Charlie Dempsey. Julius would hit the Belly to Belly Suplex, and Brutus would end the match with the Brutus Ball. Following this, Mahal & Indus Sher would make the challenge for next week.
