This week is a rare, short episode of AEW Dark Elevation. Even though it isn’t as long as it usually is, there is still a lot of room for some great things to happen and it might even help the quality of the show. Here are the good parts from AEW Dark Elevation this week.
The Good from AEW Dark Elevation
First things first, for the past few weeks, I have put the announce team for Dark Elevation on the bad side but this week they have another announcer named Ian Riccaboni as the lead announcer.
While I don’t know much about Ian, I am willing to give him a fair chance. I think that this is the best thing that they could have done for Paul and Daddy Magic. It allows both of them to be what they really are, color commentators.
The first match of the night was actually pretty good for it to only be a little over three minutes. Skye Blue is much better in the ring than she was when I first saw her and it is very good because she seems to be very over with the fans.
I want to give credit to her opponent, Zoe Dubois also. She had a very good showcase in her debut and if AEW wants her, I think that she could be very good after some more experience.
I haven’t seen much of The Butcher and The Blade, but I really like their look. I would like to see more of them and maybe them against some better tag teams so that I can get a better look at how they actually perform when they have a challenge.
The Rush and Preston Vance match was good, although it was a little too long for no reason. I think that they might be able to do something cool with this if they are willing to do it.
I am not sure about Andrade’s status with the company but I think that it would be cool if he came back as one of the masked wrestlers that Rush and Vance tries to beat him, he puts up a fight and it starts a feud with the mysterious masked man.
I doubt that this is the way that they are going but I think that it might be a good way to get Andrade back into the mix of things.
As I said before, I am tired of seeing Ari Daivari in random parings on Dark and Dark Elevation when he has a group to be in matches with. I wonder if he is slowly separating from them or if there is some other reason why he doesn’t be with them.
Despite this, their match was decent. It was short, so that was good. There is a thin line on Dark and Dark Elevation as to when matches are too long or not long enough. This one was just the right length.
