In recent opinion polls, the US public have been expressing their disapproval of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, telling the royal couple to take responsibility for their actions after the release of the Duke of Sussex’s tell-all book Spare.
Americans Bash Harry And Meghan Amid Low Approval Ratings Following Duke’s Memoir-‘I Could Have Done Without The Frozen Penis, It’s An Ugliness We Don’t Really Want To See’
The couple’s approval ratings are taking a hit each time they make a public statement and complain. Recently, Newsweek magazine shared a survey that demonstrated a noteworthy decrease in public approval of Harry and Meghan in the United States, with a 45-point decrease for Harry and 36 points for Meghan in the span of one month.
While his book was the most successful non-fiction book ever, selling 1.4 million copies on the day it was released, his approval rating before the book’s launch was +38, but has now dropped to -7.
Similarly, Meghan’s approval rating dropped from +23 to -13 points. This naturally begs the question: what do the Sussexes need to do to win the public over?
Well, there has to be more emphasis on their own brand which must exist without tarnishing their connection to the firm. After all, they have set up their Archwell Foundation that has the opportunity to make their own contributions.
And something has to change in light of the perception coming out of America. Patricia Bardaghaiw, an American citizen and writer, had this to say: “I didn’t like this sort of ‘truth’ (from Spare) it is oversharing.
“I could have done without the frozen penis. But that’s our society now,” while another American Marlon Bradford stated: “Harry should have recognised he’s not like the rest of us and not exposed all that dirty linen.
“It’s an ugliness we don’t really want to see, even though all families have that side to them. It’s made so many people uncomfortable.”
It is fair to say that the memoir has not gone down well. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
