Prince Harry has been slammed over his next speaking event that allegedly costs $995 to attend.
Prince Harry Slammed Over His $995 Ticket Price For His Mental Health Speaking Event-‘Attacking The Royal Family Is Big Business For Harry’
According to reports, Harry is set to speak at an event for the mental health company BetterUp, for which the Duke is a Chief Impact Officer.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 7th March 2023 and Wednesday, 8th March 2023. The talk has been dubbed, ‘Uplift, ‘ which will mark Harry’s second speaking engagement for the company.
In an official statement on behalf of the company, a representative said the following: “The event will also explore the latest trends in AI, research around resilient workforces, the intersection of wellbeing and performance, and ultimately how to foster human transformation at scale.”
Nevertheless, the event has been criticised for the following reasons. First of all, the ticket prices have been described as exorbitant.
And for an event that is meant to discuss how the most vulnerable can adapt, the cost is hardly going to make that happen. Nile Gardiner, who happens to be a royal expert, made it clear that this was another attempt by Harry to cash in.
He said: “Attacking the Royal Family is big business for Harry.” Secondly, this is not the first time that the Duke of Sussex has been bashed over the nature of costs concerning his events.
During his and Meghan’s attendance at the One Young World Summit in 2022, reports indicated that ticket prices for attendees was as much as over £3,000.
At the time, a member of the public by the name of Helen Jones, did not hold back on her condemnation for the cost. She stated: “That’s ridiculous.. young people can’t afford that.
“Well, most people can’t even afford that with the cost of living situation.” Ultimately, Harry is making the most of his name. And that is not going to change anytime soon.
