Sure, former WWE veteran referee Jimmy Korderas thought that RAW was a good show for the most part but he has issues with the main event and the implications it has for the women’s Elimination Chamber match.
Former WWE Referee Believes Bianca Belair Winning ‘RAW’ Triple Threat Impacted the Uniqueness of the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match
On his one of his recent Reffin’ Rant posts, Korderas—while enjoying a cuppa—went into the main event match. He felt that while the match was “a very good match,” it was the only match that didn’t really entice him as it should’ve given that it was a match on a show before a premium live event.
Not only that but the match is meant to really sell the PLE bout. You know, some matches might not excite fans but the build up and the lead in—whether it’s a match or an angle—can be enough to pique their interest. At the minimum, they’ve watched all parts of a storyline and are tuning in to hopefully finish it and see what is next.
However, Jimmy Korderas felt that the best way to remedy this and make the women’s EC unique from the men’s is to have seven women involved. This solution only comes because Bianca won the match meaning both Becky Lynch and Bayley were booted from consideration for a match at WrestleMania 39–by the person they probably would’ve faced.
The key to Korderas’ suggestion is that with seven, the match could start as a three-way match before chambers open. Check out his tweet below and let us know what you think of his booking:
In today's #ReffinRant looking forward to EC this weekend but on Mon night a missed opportunity to add some spice to 1 of the chamber matches IMO. 🤔 #StaySafe pic.twitter.com/hIAmuou0dp
