In December 2022, former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose was booted from WWE because of the content on her FanTime account. For those unfamiliar, FanTime is an OnlyFans alternative. Given what is typically associated with OF, you can take a wild guess at what was on Rose’s FanTime—then scale back a bit.
After all, Mandy Rose was a superstar in a company that is constantly trying to improve its image and has a mostly young fan base. So, don’t expect the hardest of hardcore content from the period when she was signed with WWE.
Former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose Spills the Tea On Her Release from WWE and Says She Wasn’t Warned
After leaving WWE, Rose managed to keep the ball rolling business-wise and even got to the point where she made $500,000 in a week from the spicy content, according to her agent.
In an interview on The Sessions with Rene Paquette podcast, Rose said that she was never warned nor were issues with her account brought up. When she was finally told to take the account down, it was the night before she lost the NXT Women’s title.
Mandy Rose said the order to take the account down came via an email from the legal department. “I complied, obviously. Pulled it down that night,” Rose told her fellow WWE alumnus. “The next day was when I lost the title, and got fired the following day. I never had a warning.”
“The Golden Goddess” acknowledged the reports that came in the wake of her release claiming that she had been warned. According to Rose, that never happened. The common story is that WWE were pressured to do something about it since some of the content on Rose’s FanTime was a spicier than what was allowed in her contract.
So perhaps, the account was fine for a period until the more explicit content was discovered but Rose maintains that there were no warnings or indication that were content was a problem.
What camp are you in on this? Should WWE have notified Rose and told her to get her account in line before hand? Or should she have known better considering her employer? Do you think both are at fault?
